A day to relax. Well
there's always something to do on board. As this was the first sea day and we
were about to cross into the Arctic Circle on our way to Akureyri, there was a
traditional Blue Nose Ceremony on board. This involves volunteering to have ice
poured down the back of your neck! This entitled you to have your nose painted
blue! Not for us thank you very much, but amusing to watch nonetheless.
We also had our meet
up with fellow cruisers from Cruise Critic and Valerie was lucky enough to win
the first bottle of champagne. As we couldn't imagine how we would finish a bottle of champagne in one sitting, we asked the lounge concierge if we could swap it for a bottle of wine. Fixed! All in all a good day!
